Oil Pump Leak 2001 V70

Post by silversh1tboxv70 »

I recently purchased a 2001 V70 with an oil pump leak, I replaced the front crank seal, the paper gasket on the oil pump, and the oil pump O-ring (new timing belt too).

Problem solved right? Wrong. :/

It still leaks from the oil pump, I have verified that the PCV system is operating correctly via a glove test. So positive pressure can be ruled out, and there didn't appear to be any nicks or scars in the oil pump or the cup it sits in. I'm kinda stumped.

maybe you rolled the crank seal. They sell a tool to get it installed.
