Crank , no start.

Can’t hear the fuel pump start on KPII, fuse in kidney ok , fuel pump relay 103 activates on KPII and will check for voltage at back connector

Phook. Brand new fuel pump dead after 5000 miles /6 months ?

Or

My bad wiring of fuel pump. Good news is I put slack in it to allow rewiring and testing without dropping tank

I did with no change.

Next stop was inspection of wiring and the news was good there ……low voltage at pump side of connector and damage evident

That should not have burnt. I am wondering if a previous owner had an issue and fitted a larger fuse? It should be a 15A fuse in the kidney shaped main fuse box. I think it is is position #15.

Probably the old, failed pump from 2022 was pulling high current and old connections were oxidized, so the copper got dirty.
New splices and the Kat is purring again.

What kind of car runs you around town, then does a not start in your driveway and still gives you time to catch your train?

Those moldex plugs can hide a lot of sins. Good to see she knows to get you back to Maintenance Depot.

Thanks for tracking this down again for me. Currently trying to help a guy in BC remotely to ID a problem with his 00 V70XC SE. I have e-mailed him a link to this thread and the MVS. He may need an AWD fuel pressure regulator (NLA) and a fuel pump relay. I wonder if we know anyone in Canada that may have those parts to hand.................?

Is the AWD fuel regulator the same asFWD , just mounted differently?

Do you mean that silver can on the top of the fuel tank by the RHR wheel? It is a very different unit to the FWD cars.
