00 s70 2.4 non turbo

ETC light coming on... hesitation/lag in acceleration at low speed at times... replaced throttle body with newly rebuilt and replaced pedal with new.... still having the issue.... what else am I missing?

Are you talking about the ETM? Electronic Throttle Module? Basically the throttle body? If you had it rebuilt who did it?

ETS or TRACS? Basically traction control? That is part of the ABS system. The ABS module internal connections fail at this age and even earlier as the solder joints crack.

If the TRACS light is on, is there a switch on the dash to the right of the steering wheel? If so, has it been switched off?

Sorry, but automotive terminology is terrible in using different acronyms for the same thing.

Make sure the throttle body is in with a new gasket to prevent induction leaks. Vida will tell you if the new throttle is giving you the correct reading on the two sensors. There are a couple of things that can make the ETS light come on , like the brake position sensor.

Coils and plugs all 15,000 or less?

Abscate and Neil... thank you for the response... abs module was just replaced with one from Midwest abs this week.... I will try a new gasket behind the throttle body... can't rememberwhere i bought rebuild from but it was someone from this forum... plugs are a yr old and no codes for coils... even checked the ground from head to firewall... where is the brake position sensor located

Trying to do this long distance with my daughter who grad from college and has moved.

The brake position senor is part of the brake booster. It is accessed from the engine side of the firewall. It is tricky to access but not too terrible to replace.

This is what it looks like, but a chunk of it is inside the brake booster.

Strange that the brake senor would cause this... but if it's causing a vacuum irregularity that would make sense with the hesitation and then zoom of the throttle

At this age, vacuum leaks are not uncommon as rubber pipes start to degrade. It may not be the issue so I would look to a junkyard for a part if you can. The easiest way to look for leaks from the guys here is smoking the pipework system looking for leaks. It i a lot easier than hours of looking and not finding. The other suggestion is spraying WD-40 or likes around the pipework and seeing if it makes any changes to a running engine.
