Yes it does! It's been moved in the trunk a few years ago when the one outside the car failed.

Nothing is worth worrying about on a car, but if the pump isn’t reaching full pressure it will die eventually. Plan on that in a nice place, not in the Outback

Be careful stringing the fuel lines in the crossover of the XC , if you kink them it’s a real mess.
