Evap circuit not ready
Removed cover in fall amd retorqued head bolts, seep seems to be alleviated?
Replaced rear calipers and rear brake pads

Cruise control inop, found loose plug at wheel. Now working

Courtesy lights inop, loose plug at console. Repaired cracks with epoxy

Snout to bell was a bit loose so sealed with putty and permeatex epoxy wrap, clamp. Installed driver kick panel
Pulled Shaggkira driver seat, shampood carpet.

Fore aft motor stuck on driver. Tested motor, stalled. Removed motor, runs. Gear box apparently seized, or runners seized. I used my other 99 to mark a seat position that fits three ladies that drive this car and set the runners there.

Swapped in a nice arena/ wood console and swapped in driver kick panel.

Fixed shifter knob by trimming plastic to allow release.

July 2021…replaced radiator to reservoir hose due to hole from ps pulley abrasion. Added 1 liter make up oil at 237300

Installed 2019 battery
Drain fill 4 liters atf valvoline max life dex6
Replaced o-rings on upper atf hose

238400 new Volvo 3 prong plugs. Coils date 2015. Car is popping a pretty quick P0440 for major evap leak. Rear canister style. Volvo code is ECM4047 vap canister shutoff valve blocked or canister purge valve leakage Inspected j and L j]hoses, appear ok

239200. R/r front left wheel bearing with FAG. Treated and painted brake backing plate with hammertoe. Installed 9492980 Volvo wheel seal

Quick RN alternator notes

Remove negative battery terminal
Car ramped, remove air guide, 2 10mm M6
Remove SERP belt, 14mm hex tension release
Remove plastic ECu box
Remove three 12 mm M8 bolts through ps pulle
17 mm wrench , remove PS high pressure line
Move PS out of way

1 m8 12mm bolt rear of alternator top
2 m8 long bolts, 12 mm hex bottom of alternator
Under car, ease 2 m8 12mm bolts bottom AC compressor

Release alternator
13 mm m8 release positive alternator cable
Unplug alternator exciter wire
Tetris alternator out of car

Second occurrence of hot start problem August 239800

No firing after refueling on Thruway

Needed 5-10 seconds cranking with gas pedal fully depressed. Fired, then ran roughly.

22june. Weak cranking, battery 12.2 bolts at rest, 13.2 idle. Battery 2019-12 AGM. possible alternator or battery cable.

UBG alternator, new Conti serp belt, Volvo cabin air filter
Checked air filter, replaced 2020-04 at 233k

Replaced battery NAPA Legend 2020 07-10, 24 month warranty

New front rotors and VOlvo pads, springs. 11mm bleeders new . All FCP parts

Cat continuous , OXS continuous, HOXS continuous took one drive cycle, 20 miles

Cat non continuous took two cycles 50 miles

Now have OXS NON CONTINOUS AND evap not ready, have 60 liters fuel in tank, a bit too high
Inspection complete
Replaced positive battery with UBHG
Current draw measured at 0.030 Amps

New 2 AWG positives cable, new 6 AWG ALT to starter, parallel ground cable
Installed 5 amp trickle charger for biweekly top off

Jan6 250,000 mile marker. Coding for minor evap leak and Brake position sensor code, cruise INOP. Have UBG sensor, STC TRACS compat?

Jan17 Battery drained after 8 days sitting from highway trip. Could be we killed the battery in the short drive cycle troubleshooting above. With fresh charge , car starts immediately. No codes.
Strategy , measure drain, check battery voltage over days.
Charged full 12.8 volts. 90 mA draw. Next morning 11.8nvolts. Probably bad battery, 6/22 from Napa
Popped an ECM 9400 brake pedal sensor have spare.

Charged battery. 12.8V. Left unconnected. One week later , 12.7 volts. Diagnosis current drsin

3April 252xxx #3 coil failure on highway. Replaced with UBG, no change
0 psi compression on #3, burnt exhaust valve likely. Disconnected #3 FIJ and drove 200 miles at 60-65, 26 mpg

Engine 1477386 7mm valve stems, hydraulic

easy to forget M8 timing cover bolt beneath exhaust cam
dipstick bolt M8 12mm hex easy with ratchet wrench
Manifold bolt to rear very difficult, cant access underneath. removed metal bracket with 18 inch breaker, 6 inch extension, 12mm hex socket then lifted IM with metal attached. Clean and dont overtorque
Water pipe screws M6 10mm hex - wrench combo?
90 minutes to cam cover removal

Replacements
One cylinder head bolt , hex stripped
Both IM underneath m8 bolts , replace with new
Exhaust studs, down pipe all nuts

Using AE exhaust valves ftom FCP
Valve stem seal kit ordered from lisle
Studs and nuts from Amazon.FCP
Corteco head gasket

Cooling group refresh including heater hoses?
