The windshield trim on my '91 sedan is loose at the bottom on the driver’s side and flaps in the wind.
Some of the clips are rusted through and do not work.
The auto body/glass place says that I have to replace the entire windshield because it is a one-piece unit – if one can be located. Their concern is that the old windshields often break when uninstalled.
Is there some product or method that would allow me to adhere the trim to the glass or body?
I would like to avoid the trim becoming a projectile while on the highway.
If I weren’t afraid of breakage, and had the tools and confidence shown in this link https://fewstreet.com/2018/06/13/volvo- ... hield.html, I might go for it. However, I have neither the tools nor the expertise.
If worst came to worst, is it safe to drive without the trim?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
