I want to thank Neil for his assistance in acquiring a part in Canada. He had posted a link in the classified section here and I contacted the seller via kijji. Settled on price but the money transaction was a problem from the US side as the seller had no way to get him the money. I contacted Neil to see if he would help and he jumped right in. Talked to the seller and went a picked up the part for me and shipped it. It is people like this that make this community invaluable to those of us keeping these cars alive and kicking. Thanks Neil!

Best news is not only did it not go missing in the black hole that is USPS Carson City, CA, but it even turned up a day ahead of forecast delivery day!! Bonus!

Forgot to add, I was helping a friend (and former Volvo mechanic) I have not seen for a long time on the weekend with his 97 850 AWD manual (I believe they only came to Canada and in manual trans).

During our chatting, I mentioned sending an 850R ECU to the US to a friend there. He then told me he also has one!! It makes me shudder as that is around 7 used 850R ECU's in total. It almost makes me cry to think we have potentially lost that many locally!
