Sounds like my 00 V70R! I have 2 x 3" binders of receipts for the car in the last 15,000km!

Just curious, are you talking about the Volvo dealership or our local Volvo “Indy”? Do you have any pictures of the leak? Don’t be intimidated by removing the angle gear yourself, it’s really not that difficult of a job and will provide a good opportunity to change the fluid and grease the prop shaft CV’s which are probably in need of fresh grease. I’m in S.E. Calgary if you need a hand or advice, I’ve done this a few times.

I use the Volvo dealers, there are no Indy Volvo repair shops I have found worth using in Calgary.
I can do the repairs, it is just a case IF I want to do the repairs. I will try to get to looking at it up on the hoist later next week to see what is going on, clean the area to make sure we are seeing the proper leak source and then order what I need to do the repairs from there. Now whether I do the repair myself or call in help will depend on what I find.
Pulling the axle is no real problem, especially with a hoist, now if the angle gear needs to come out that is where I may need to call in help. Again, not because I could not do it, but a shoulder issue and arthritis in the hands can sometimes stretch out repairs!
Appreciate the offer of help Blacklab467. At some point I will hopefully get to meet with you!
