Coolant light on is of concern but may be a simple fix and worse case a radiator, as long as the engine is not over-heated. ABS is ABS, again not a big deal. Best spec in my opinion in terms of turbo running gear. For me though, black with tan interior are not for me.

Up here folk are looking for $3000 for a 200k mile car, which if you are nuts enough to pay that, you will likely have another $1500-2000 to spent to stage 0.

Nice looking car. I wonder what caused the front grill to be knocked in. Aside from the small rip in that front seat, the interior is very nice.

What do you all think of that price? Could the shocking low miles suggest it was sitting, demanding replacement of many rubber parts? Makes me wonder what the cost will be to reach stage 0.

I have found it is typically $2-3000 CDN to bring a car back to stage 0 and running well. Every car is different of course, but strangely the cost has been the same. It may be more now as parts prices have gone way up since I Iast did one.

I would have just driven that in RTF mode

High quality OE parts at 50k have loads of life left in them

I've been rehabilitating three cars over the past three years, thus buying the same parts at different times. Prices are steadily rising at an alarming rate. I'm glad I bought one full spring suspension in 7/22 (and haven't installed it) because I just bought two more for a higher price. And the prices 7/22 were notably higher than 1/22; wish I had bought sooner.

What about rubber parts which have been sitting? I'd change the S70 belts, flat spot tires. But what about rubber in more hidden places like engine internals (lack of oil circulating to lubricate them), mounts, maybe even fluid lines.

Then there's rust from sitting. It feels like the car getting some fresh air from movement helps dry it out and prevent rust. I'm thinking about all those metal-to-rubber connections like the high pressure power steering line, A/C line, transmission cooler lines, etc.

One of my V70s has been idle for eight months and its rotors are rusty. I bought a fiberglass strip disk to gently remove the rust. If that's too aggressive, I'll put them on a lathe and use sand paper on a block.

If your car is sitting, it may be an idea if I may suggest to get some spray lanolin and spray all your exposed bolts around under the car, especially if you have access to a hoist. It may help slow down the rate of decay (on the car...
