04 v70 eats pass side spring seat

Post by 22volvo »

The driver's side spring seat has over 100k miles and is still good. The passenger side is about to get its third changeout in the same timeframe. Last repair used the xc90 heavier version. That was 35k miles ago.
Any suggestions on what else I can replace that would make the passenger side spring seat last longer?
Both struts, ball joints and control arms were done same time xc90 spring seat was installed.
2004 v70 2.5T 286K miles.

Did you replace the top plate bearing on your last seat change? If not it may have failed or seized which will load the top spring seat and make it fail early.
