What is the best method to get the valve body cover off a 2005 S60 2.5T AWD?

Post by phils05gt »

I have decided to install the TransGo solenoid rebuild kit in my 05 S60 due to common transmission shifting issues. I currently have her on jack stands about 12-14" off the ground and lower cover off.

What is the best method to gain clearance to get to the valvebody cover to remove it and remove the valve body? Also, what is a good source for the gaskets for the pan and the valve body itself?

Thanks all!

How much is that kit? For under $500 you can get a new AC Delco valve body made by Aisin that is compatible with Volvo. Only 1 minor modification is needed. It would be a brand new factory made valve body with factory calibration and no issues, guaranteed.
