Western Canada is particularly bad and British Columbia is slowly turning us into smoked meat! They have 380 fires there and Canada has about 850 in total. Our air is regularly in the 7+ zone which is in the bad for your health range. We did get to worse than Karachi by x5 at one point. I'm thinking of taking up smoking as it is probably less bad for my lungs! :(

Glad to hear you are doing well and good luck with the repairs. Happy to hear you found a replacement alternator. Rebuilt ones are getting of a poorer quality, even the famous Bosch ones.

Salut Neil,

Sorry to learn how bad things turn in Canada. Even if you put some funny mind in your post. When i was a kid, my countryside looked like the Eden garden...

Yes, i found a alternator, from LUCAS trade. Brand new one is over 350 $, but i must go further with my car. Details could be treated later...

Our old friend Robert DIY has had good luck just replacing the brushes/voltage regulator module on his alternators. In some markets that can be less costly than replacing the alternator itself. He has even done the repair without removing the alternator from the engine, which of course saves a lot of hours.
Hope the weather isn't too radical where you are.

Bearing made an awful noise, definitely time to replace the beast. I haven't tools to repair that issu by myself. I've so much stuff to do actually i prefer to solve an issue and be quiet with it after the replacement.

The weather is as everywhere on earth, impossible. Near 36 degree at midday.

And nearly everybody wants more and more technology...

That is not fun at all Misha or even the 36C in France. I would melt into a puddle at that temperature!
