Well once again it has happened. Now for those in the southern warm states, this will not be on interest, but for those where the weather gets very flaky (snow/ice/wet) in the winter, having headlight washers is a real bonus, especially if they work!

I saw a pair for sale on our local Facebook MP that fit a V/S/C70 P80 (not 850 they have longer shafts for the wiper arms). I was horrified to find : A) The price these are. Anywhere from $270 CDN to $300 US.
B) But the worst part is that they now have the dreaded instruction to 'Contact your dealer for information' which means they are
out of stock or going NLA. FCP list them as discontinued.

These fail with age and yes, you can replace the thermal resistor chip with a piece of copper wire, but that compromises your electrical system as it now relies on the main fuse that operated your main wipers and washers. So your choices are to either put a 10A in-line fuse in the circuit at each motor you modify, or buy the end cap with a new resistor from Alibaba.

Part numbers are : 8628287 (LH) and 8628288 (RH). Update: 8628287 LH headlight wiper is still showing as available on GCP.se website, but the 8628288 RH is not showing up as a current part number.
