Ok, here are some pictures of the inside of drivers side rim:

On the outer tie rod, marking from rubbing against the rim:

On the strut bolt to spindle/knuckle, note the gray colored residue/flakes (between the bolt head/nut and top of spindle):

I did replace the slightly longer bleeder screw with a shorter one, but the top of the longer screw was not damaged and the rubber cover was still on the screw.
The inside of the front passenger side rim shows no scarring at all.

Last summer I had to replace the passenger side caliper. Are there different sizes of calipers between the base model V70 and the turbo?
I believe the replacement caliper was off a non-turbo V70. Not sure if that makes any difference.
Thoughts??

That’s awful. That will destroy that alloy wheel if it continues, then you end up on a flatbed like Juliette…even the cat hid….

Gosh, Abscate, are you okay? That tire, rim, suspension, et al looks horrible!

Still wondering what I need to do...change the caliper, the tie rod??
Change the strut assembly??

Can you post a picture of the tie rod. Are you sure you do not have them on the wrong sides? The 'bow' of the tie rod should point toward the strut. In the picture is is hard to see but it looks like it points to the back of the car.

Indeed, the wrong tie rod was installed (I was sent two passenger sides when I ordered these back in 2021). Makes sense to check the contents of the boxes when they arrive!
Have ordered two new tie rods!
Thanks to all for your help in solving this mystery!! :)
