Good morning fellas (good morning for us here in Holland),
Question for you regarding converting the keyless entry from aftermarket back to OEM.
I own a late (november) 1995 T-5R. It has the OBD 1.5 without the flash code reader under the hood.
At one moment in time it got it's factory keyless entry system including remotes swapped with some aftermarket system. Happened with one of the previous owners.
I want to have the factory remotes back. They look and feel better and it makes the car that little bit more OEM, which is what I am after.
It originally came with the Guard 2 system I believe.
I have a 210-211 (green, volvo n/o 91 66 485)relay (without the corresponding key fob) from an 850R. Pulled it from a wrecker a long time ago.
Can I just plug the relay in, buy a remote, program it and have a working keyless entry system?
Thanks!

My word of wisdom here after being stranded after a wedding because the FOB of my 96 R decided to quit on me causing a no start situation at 1 a.m.:
Leave well enough alone! If it works, be happy.
If the aftermarket FOB annoys you, lock it manually (that's what I've been doing for the past 6 or 7 years).
You might open a box of worms that you don't want to mess with. I ended up bridging the 211 relay and am happy that way.
