Hello MVS! For some reason my driver's side mirror keeps moving when I get over 30 MPH. It is the glass/mirror plate that keeps moving. I can adjust the mirror to the top using the controls and it stops but when I bring it back to the right position it keeps flopping all over the place while driving.

Is there anyway I can adjust something or figure out how to fix this? Anyone else have this problem?

Hello,

Yes, I had this problem. The mirror is about to come off the actual assembly. The glue isn't holding it well anymore. My advice would be to try to carefully pry it off the assembly and then re-glue it.

The reason it only happens at higher speeds is because the wind is moving it around.

Thanks! Any suggestions/brands to use for glue? Also, it stopped wiggling for some reason now. Who knows why!

I just used a 5-minute epoxy that you can get at any hardware store. That will hold it really well.

Ok, I'll check that out. So the mirror part, the glass, will just pry off? Can I glue this while the side mirror is on the car or do I need to disassemble the side mirror?

Yeah it should just pry off. No need to disassemble anything.

I have the same issue. It stops sometimes though, even at high speed. So I wonder if it is the motor for the mirror? That still moves too.

I haven't tried to pry it off yet

I ended up buying a replacement part and switching it out on my 2008.

Yeah, thought about that. I ended up using the 5 minute epoxy stuff. It seems to be holding up so far 🤞

Mine was doing the same thing, but again, only occasionally the past couple of days. Unfortunately, yesterday, it fell out while driving. Any ideas where to get the replacement glass? I need it by tomorrow as I'm driving 300 miles to an event!
