Hello,

Has anything changed with this installation? I followed these instructions earlier this year or last (can't remember). It all worked first time. After months of occasional use, Vida would no longer see the dice, but the Dicediag had no problems communicating. Vida would log in, but the communications device bit in the top left corner of the home screen was gone and sometimes a missing object message popped up. Reinstalled the dice drivers and reenabled hosting, but nothing changed.

I have uninstalled Vida and installed again. Everything appears to install OK without any error messages. When I try to log in the box pops up with the progressing green band, but quits fairly quickly with no message and doesn't log in. If I put anything else in, other than admin, there is a contact volvo message.

Has anybody else's install failed after time, and if so, how did you fix it?

I forgot to mention,

"Unknown error:

Please contact your local Helpdesk

Could not contact central systems."

This message pops up when I try to log in.

Update:

I have now got the Vida installation back up and I can log in. I am back where I started. There is still no comms with the dice, communications tool section on the Vida start page is empty. The drivers are installed and hosting is enabled. The device shows no issues in device manager. I've no idea what else I can try.

Problem solved.

IE compatibility mode in Edge didn't work. I changed the default browser to IE. When vida opened, the Isoview splash screen showed and the dice was visible.

It all works again now.
