If only the V70 headlamps were as simple as the XC90 when bulbs require changing, whoever decided that a bumper off job would be a good idea should be shot.
The bulbs are all original, the bumper has never been off in the last 18 years. The indicator bulbs are starting to show a bit of white light so it was time to change before my MOT guy complains. The side lights are starting to look black so I changed them while I was in there
What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Is that a post-2004 change?

You did that yourself? Or had several helpers?
I know from experience how much work that is.

If you had premixed poured what's the price up there? Down here in TN it's now $190/ cubic yard. I'm widening my 64' x 24' driveway another 18'. I finished building a 32' x 32' garage last year and it's now a pain to reverse into the second 9x8 garage door.volvolugnut wrote: ↑03 Aug 2023, 17:46You did that yourself? Or had several helpers?

I did 3/4 of the jackhammer demo but paid a neighbor 300 to finish and throw it all in a trailer(2) for disposal. Took him 3 hard days.volvolugnut wrote: ↑03 Aug 2023, 17:46You did that yourself? Or had several helpers?

I paid him another $100 to help with the pour after I did all the rebar which i welded instead of wiring...because welding is fun.
The very cheerful concrete delivery guy gave us a lot of tips, then put on his rubber boots and jumped right in, did the raking and screeded it , I just watched the whole thing as my helper and the driver did it all, then he showed us how to float the finish. He spent at least an hour helping us, usually they just pour and run, so we gave him $50 tip.
no more big heavy projects for me, my cancer and heart condition dont leave me with the energy needed.
In retrospect I never should have started this project but I got lucky and things worked out.

yeh thats a narrow door, mine is 12 feet wide and I still prefer to drive rather than reverse.
Base price for 40k psi is $160 yd plus surcharge for distance (30 miles) and not meeting the 5 yd minimum.
I only removed 2/3 of the floor for a lift install pad. 11x13 at 7 inch average depth, so I got away with 3 yards,
550 for the pour and 100 for the helper.
Total cost including jackhammer and concrete rotary hammer, bullfloat rental came out around $1200, Got away cheap I think.

Last I checked in Oklahoma concrete was around $300 a Cu Yard. My recent experience was hand mixed in small 3 x 4 foot sections because no good truck access and only 1 yard total needed.
Previous experience in 1970's for three summers. It paid for my college.
