99 v70 NA auto wiring diagram

Post by pfmet »

My Vida laptop from Dave arrived and I’ve begun the process of learning my way around. First order of business was to begin familiarizing myself with the SRS system as that is my only light and I’d love to make it go away. I’ve read many SRS threads here and on other Volvo forums, followed all the rabbit holes I’ve come across and am trying to amass a degree on knowledge on the subject before asking the first question. So many questions. First of all my Vida shows SRS module grayed out on the network diagram, meaning no communication I believe.I read a post by DQ81 on Volvoforums.org.uk about checking power to the SRS as well as verifying Bus communication via low speed CAN. The laptop Dave sent me came loaded with the. Volvo EWD 2014 which has a publication #3977202 for V70 -05 which I interpret as perhaps open ended enough to include the 99’s. However it does show the battery in the back of the car and I have no idea if I’m wasting my time studying this as carefully as I am.

So my first question becomes, can anyone steer my to a 1999 wiring diagram I can feel more confident will cover my car accurately? I’ve seen a post in my searches where abscate refers to a 1998 diagram as hopefully being close enough. Certainly would be closer than what I’m using. The Volvo EWD 2014 is an extraordinary publication, just wish it was EWD 1999! Thanks as always guys. Peter

SRS went through drastic changes between 1998 and 1999 model years. I believe the 1999s are findable on the web but we don’t host them here by agreement with Volvo

Hi Peter. This suggests you're looking at a P2 diagram. P80s like yours the battery is in the front.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Not at all. This gets a bit funny. As a moderator group , we have agreed to refrain from directing users to web resources of wiring diagrams.

OtherMVS users are free to do so , so give them a few days to respond here.

Sorry for the confusion, it is a bit strange
