Wow. Maybe under a car in the muck for several years?

I’ve started degreasing and cleaning aluminum and steel with my wife’s ingenious mix of 2/3 vinegar to 1/3 Dawn detergent. Heat up the vinegar a bit, just warm tea warm - helps it mix. In a spray bottle. Shake it up to mix. Stiff brushes and wire brushes.

In the ebay oil pan, there is a lot of black gunk everywhere inside. Can I get away with just cleaning it? It seems to scrape off easily. Are there easy to miss parts of the pan that get clogged with sludge that I need to clean?
