Greetings everyone,
I am trying to reset the radio in the T5, entered the code, now the message reads "OFF" when I press the Power button.
If I had an owner's manual I'd probably be able to figure this out, but the manual is in the blue V70 awaiting a new owner!
What is the process of clearing the "OFF" message so the radio can be used?
Appreciate all your insight!!

Keep the battery on a charger while you do that…

Yep, you need to leave the radio on, which needs the ignition on for about 2 hours, sometimes less, until it resets to 'CODE'. As Abscate says, put your car on a trickle charger until complete.
Good Luck!

Attached my trickle charger to the battery, left radio on, key in position 1; took a little less than 2 hours. Entered the code from P.O., but still not working. Got the "off" message again, did the charger thing once more, called the Volvo dealer.
Entirely wrong code....! It's working now!
Is it worth the time/effort to replace bulbs and buttons that don't seem to work? Or should I look for a better one as I traipse through various PNP'S?
On a totally different note, but still sound related...i came across a Volvo CD changer in the glovebox of an early 850. I am tempted...but how difficult is it to connect one in a V70?

It’s pretty cheap to get a junkyard one that works well, like $25. Bulbs aren’t hard, buttons are

For my clarity, do you mean the buttons on the radio, and the bulbs on the radio? If so, then as per Abscate's answers. Depending on the head unit the bulbs are fairly simple but make sure if you swap out the base to use black bases for the bulbs or you will get different brightnesses across the front of your radio.
The 2 large knobs are easy to swap, they take a bit of pulling but pull off. They have a flat so check for alignment when fitting replacements.
The remaining buttons are not easily replaced. Easier and quicker to swap the whole radio. New unit code is easy to get.
Take the whole glove box as you need the mounting bracket. I can't recall if the 850 and V/S/C 70 liners are interchangeable. I don't think so. So you will have to modify your own glove box liner to fit. You will also need the connecting cable between the radio and the CD player.
