how did they fix the p/s leak, new lines ?

you sure thats a 2.4 , they went to 2.5 in 04.

You can replace your hubs later without touching the rest of the suspension, so that’s no big deal. Whether you technically “need” another alignment after this… I don’t think so hah. But my ‘01 drove true when I did that.

Jonesg, it took a while for me to find it. I kept discounting the hoses at the pump because the alternator seemed dry. Eventually I found that the supply line to the pump was leaking at the pump. Oil was running down the engine side of the pump. About an extra 3/4 turn on the hose clamp solved the issue.

Tisme, good to know. I kicked myself for not getting a hub when I had it all apart. Would have been so easy to replace.

Relatively easy, yeah. Especially if you remember to get 4 new bolts before you rip it apart

my tips were rusted and somehow slightly bent.

One of the bolts was kinda painful to remove, I think the axle was in the way. Some people can get it with a wibbly wobbly extension and the right socket. I think I had to use a Hayco crescent. Gotta reposition the steering wheel depending on which bolt you're on.
