2007 XC70 $2000 Pooler, GA - SOLD

Post by davidbr13 »

I am placing my 2007 Volvo XC70 for sale. It is silver, has factory rubber floor mats (and the regular ones), clean title, 198098 miles. It has some issues for a dedicated DIY'er.

The TPMS batteries are all dead, so there is that warning constantly. There is a code P2402 for the leak detection pump. That seems like no big deal, but if you live where they check smog, you would have to fix that. There are no other codes. The AC doesn't work. The big one is that there is an oil leak at the front crankshaft seal. No, it is not at the cam phasers, its at the crank. That means its timing belt time, and honestly it was about time for that anyway. My wife views anything that has any issue as "unreliable" and we have too many cars anyway, so it can go. She wants it gone before September 14, its license plate renewal date.

I'm asking $2000, and the price is negotiable, as all car prices should be. It runs and drives fine, just keep checking the oil, it uses about a half quart every 100-200 miles.

Upholstery is fine, I have seat covers on the front seat backs to protect them. I have matching bottom covers but couldn't get them on. Also, the clear is peeling a bit from the mirror caps, but otherwise the paint is in good condition. Headlights are obviously a little yellowed, but still not bad.

I have 36 years married to a woman who still drives a car that left her in limp on the Long Island Expressway on the way to see her mother because “ I hate car payments, they should be free”

Fixed it , plugged cats.

She has confidence in my ability to diagnose and fix , which I’ve learned is helped with OE parts
