Do you mask off the exhaust then?
What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

The exhaust is the original that the car left the factory with (now almost 27 years old) I painted it with high temperature paint in 2021 and when I was applying the Lanoguard I held cardboard up to prevent it getting covered in the liquid

That’s the front end cleaned ready for Lanoguard. I was surprised at how little muck there was at the top of the strut towers and once cleaned I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of rust up there as it’s a known weak spot on the P2 V70s

Removed the back wheels today to get better access and managed to find a load more muck from inside some of the suspension arms.
Most of the muck was in this part, quietly sitting waiting for the next downpour so that it could rust a little more. A good douse in Lanoguard will sort it out
There was also quite a bit of muck in this arm but it looks to be a non ferrous metal so not as much of a concern
Bump stop plates were a little ragged round the outer edges
Good time to check behind them for rust
Painted and refitted, wheel arch liners de-tarred and will apply some Chemical Guys Bare Bones once the Lanoguard has been applied

That Ford Edge in far spot is also technically a Ford's version of XC60. Or, perhaps, the other way around.
One of the three cars on that picture does not have subframe rust
