96 850 Rear wheels - Lack of adjustment Topic is solved

I've not had a FWD P80 in a long time (>5 years) and I recall it had a problem with something seized or broken at the rear which prevented the local dealer aligning one side at the rear. Unfortunately I was not there to see what got changed. I do (surprisingly!) remember a conversation about a corroded or cracked aluminum block. I seem to recall there is an aluminum block with a couple of bolts mounted near the delta link. I also recall aluminum block/steel bolts mentioned. I know how that does or doesn't work on my AWD Volvo's!

Are those what need to get de-rusted or replaced? If so are there any options other than OE?

Probably the link block at the end of the torsion bar.

It is also sold by our friend URO....................!

I need to find it north of the border but now I know there are alternates (OE NLA it appears). Thanks for the heads up. I do recall the Volvo mechanics swearing a lot removing the one on my 00 V70 NA that had actually snapped!

Found the item at GermanParts.ca. They have the Meyle parts (is there a LH and RH or are they the same?), URO and Sidem?

$42 is about the same as $30 US and no shipping with local pickup. This company is beginning to impress.
