Oil pan removal, do the bolt threads need to be sealed?
As a step 2 in PCV overhaul that I did a couple months ago, I'll be dropping the pan this weekend to clean and reseal and replace the cooler line hoses. I've seen where others have sealed the bolt threads but cannot find anywhere that this is necessary. Can anyone provide some guidance on this, thanks.

Up around the front crank seal, you will see oil coming out of removed oil pan bolt threaded holes. Not sure if there was one, two or three, but I cleaned up the bolts really good and put Teflon pipe dope on the threads.

Thanks, thats the main purpose and goal of removing the oil pan, I was suspicious of that return channel and wanted to get it clean, also to replace the cooler hoses.

Thanks, does anyone have the torque and tightening sequence for the oil pan bolts? I found something on Swedespeed but I don't really trust those guys.
