95'850 Electric headlight adjustment Topic is solved

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has tried to retrofit the electric headlight adjustment motors and switch into an 850 or has them already installed from the factory?
I got the motors and the switch from a junkyard, but forgot to check where the wires for the switch go, and the car has been crushed so i cant go back to look at it and figure it out. So I am asking if anyone can take some pictures of the wires from the switch to wherever they go if they have it installed or have done so.
I have checked the electrical system pdf book and I cant find where they would go. I have the plugs for the motors in the engine bay tho.

I dont think your going to get anyone that knows how to do that in the USA. We never got that option in here. Which sucks..

I would love to have that feature!
Not sure why... Just seems like a great
lighting mod for the sticks and back roads.

You should be able to run your own wiring.
Here are the diagrams and component locations:

I'd probably mock it all up on a bench first,
then get to work on the onboard installation.

Yes i have looked in this diagram but i am not sure, do i need to insert wires in the 24/13 on page 2?
If so where does then the P wire for the switch come from?

The only car wiring I have done is speakers amps and subs, so this is new to me I would say.

So I think I have found the solution if anyone will ever go trough this

You will need to check if you car is prewired for the adjustors, in the engine bay where the plug for the lights is you will have 3 plugs
1 headlight wipers
2 headlights
3 headlight adjustment.

So you will need to connect the car wires to the dash wires shown in pictures.
the 3 wires bottom right pic 1 will need to be connected to the switch trough the dash wires in pic2
you could just take them out and directly wire to the switch if you want to do it easier

this is the car wiring

red circle around the pink dimmer wire
This is for the light dimmer like all other switches on the dash and cluster, you pull this one out from the dash wiring and insert it in the switch
then you wire in the other 3 wires as shown in the next pic

wires in car= the wires you will need to run from pic 2 in the 3 empty holes to the switch if you want to do it correctly

I hope I have written this good enough, its my first guide
I will post an update with pics of it working, i am currently doing the evaporator so I had great access to all the wires

A bit late to the party. Did you end up getting them to work?

Do you have some part#’s for those headlight motors? I found 2 types of leveler switches one with #s 0,1,3,5 and one with just a zero on the face. I cant seem to find anything on the web for the motors. I know it was not part of the US market, but I want to try and get the parts together to do it. My dreams are very unrealistic

ELECTRIC headlights?! We still use oil lamps out here!

More seriously... I saw a newish Range Rover start up, and the headlights did a little robot calibration dance - up down left right until they settle in, based on the load in the car. Entertaining!
