I finally repaired my 2001 Volvo V70 XC wagon throttle body. Or electronic throttle module. After I tried to open it and messed it up. Curiosity killed the cat and it killed my throttle body. Anyway if anyone else has had this problem with an 01 model get a hold of me it's not too hard to fix.

I discovered a leak in the windshield. Found it. Easy fix to get done after 3 days of scorching hot sun. Heads up though...I might be ready to sell this soon...as well as my Honda. I want something with no TB or premium gas requirements. Something I dont feel pressured to fix all by myself. Keep an eye out for a listing for this car. It is kinda ugly but loaded and reliable.

Zion, two small c clamps mid head will draw down the head easily. I actually prefer this method as I don’t like having spark plug holes open once the head is on. Once the head is down, eight bolts into the number 2 and number 4 cylinders will hold it down fine. Then zip in the other 35. Not very tight, the anaerobic sealer does the sealing work

Most put down too much sealer just a pea dab every 10 cm or so, then rolled to a film. You DONT need a bead like an RTV application

FYI the tension comes from intake 2 and exhaust 5 when the cams are at their marks on the RN engine, see pictures.

Thanks abscate. I ended up splurging for the kit that clamps the valve cover using the spark plug holes abd has the cam alignment tool. It was only $50 on amazon. I see a hefty amount of that aircraft sealant on your exhaust cam seal 😆
