UPDATE+ SOLUTION

As embarrassing as this is, I will give you the full rundown, please don't chastise me, I am learning all of this on my own and I made a a mistake.

mechanic couldn't find anything, until they pulled my spark plugs that I had installed 3 weeks prior, they were absolutely obliterated. The tips were gone, this is because advanced auto said "exact fit" and they were not, now why I got zero engine codes I'm not sure, mechanic was scratching his head at that one, because as soon as they drove it, the problem got much worse and they finally got a misfire code and then they checked. Stupid me I know, but the Volvo is okay so that's good. I almost removed the plugs but didn't because it just did not seem like a spark issue, considering up to 65-70 mph it was fine, idk I'm just glad it wasn't transmission thanks all!! Have a great day

If anyone else has this issue, please please just check your spark plugs before going to a mechanic, I only hope now I can afford to pay rent, not in great spot financially at the moment, mostly because I can't stop buying parts for this car haha

The engine adapts to the spark and timing while the car is running so maybe that is why it kept running with no misfires. As for the shift flare, my only thought is that the newer engines are based on torque curves for the ME7 systems so maybe it was looking for a gear given that the engine could not deliver the desired torque with the given gear? That is spitballing.

Verify no issues with the tranny by driving it at the previous speed. Glad this is resolved though!

Good to hear it is sorted. From previous threads I recall people having coil or plug issues. I recall chasing the transmission on my kids 02 S60 before replacing CV shafts fixed it.

Vibrations can be a bear to sort out!
