Hello, short qustion before i go ahead, is it enough to just pull the CEM out and put +- 12V on the appropriate contacts or do i have to have the keylock to put it in pos 1/2 to start and the rest aswell for a bench cracking? i have a 12V 4Amp power supply from my dad, which would deliver steady power, thanks
(its a P1, 2007)

hello everyone;
I prepared my circuit according to @vtl's recommendations. It managed to decode the PIN on the first try. I now have the PIN code for my MY12 XC90. Thank you very much.
I'm a novice at this and I'm just getting started. I have some experience in coding field. I'm working on Python and Arduino. I have information about CANBUS. I can perform detailed analysis on the VIDA database. Besides, I don't know much about vehicle software hacking.
I will see what I can do with the PIN code I obtained. I am open to your ideas that will help you get started on this matter.

As far as I know, there's no opensource CEM flash reader via CAN. You can use your cracker board to write an Arduino sketch to read the CEM. For that you need an SBL (secondary boot loader). I think someone here in the thread mentioned he has it.Bekirebu wrote: ↑22 Sep 2023, 09:02 hello everyone;

If we get a solution to write flash dump back, it would be triple awesome.

Hi Guys
I'm not a technophobe - but im not an electronics engineer either. I have been reading through tbe thread and have got to page 124... and my brain is fried! There are some really smart people here!
I have 2 cars which need the CEM pin, a 2004 T5 and a 2005 D5..
Has a solution been identified to get the pin from the earlier (brick) P2 CEM? And does anyone make units to sell for those of us who are less electrically competant?
Thanks!

Brick CEM is not crackable over CAN-bus yet.minormatt wrote: ↑09 Oct 2023, 03:05 Hi Guys
