I believe the A/C is related to compressor clutch shims, but does it also affect heat for vehicle?
Going to start checking clearance on compressor, but unsure where to start for no heat, but air is blowing.
Any advice appreciated.

It sounds like your heat control flap is not working. The heater core is running heat to the car all the time. There is a flap that controls if you get hot or cold air fed to the outlets. Sounds like it is not working or a flap is stuck. This may help:

You need to scroll about half way down to get to the S70/V70/C70 ECC system. It is one of the cases where diagnostics with Vida helps. As it could also be the cabin temperature controller which senses temperature in the cabin and adjusts for the left and right to the setting requested. If you are getting no heat on both sides then you might want to remove the cabin temperature sensor and try cleaning it. I wrote a how to thread a few years back on how to remove and clean it.
