Bluetooth Adapter for HU Radios

Post by XCMat »

Has anyone tried this bluetooth adapter made for Volvo HU radios? I've only found it shipped from Europe. They cost about $50 and it looks like a easy and clean install. They have an option with a microphone too. I've seen it marketed under the BlueMusic brand.

I've used FM adapters and rechargeable cassette adapters but this looks nice and clean. I've also checked out the GROM products but it's more than I need (more expensive too).

USA based source here. You have my attention though if anyone wants to do a group buy or can find it at direct-from-the-sweatshop pricing.

Much of my time during the job is spent hauling things up and down the stairs to the basement or in and out of the storage shed, or running back downstairs when I realize I need something else,or taking a break from standing out in the sun,or using flashlights or work lamps when it gets dark.

I just bought a cheap FM/Bluetooth adapter for my son. Cost about $10 CDN on sale. It works well with his phone, connected straight up and plugs into the 12V outlet. It also has a USB outlet for charging your phone. He can play his music from his phone. Not sure how well it compares with this, but he is happy with it.

Just fitted this one into my V70, took around half an hour, didn't need to disconnect the battery and it works better than the Yatour I have in my 850
