I wrote a DIY for my 2005 XC90 Rear Suspension.
The procedure is almost the same for S60...

Is it FWD or AWD? AWD is like cn90 wrote above, FWD is a bit different. AWD is a bit easier in my experience.

For FWD you need to remove the front stay:

Then mark the spring, rubber spring seat and shock mount relative position with white corrector fluid or something (you will need to put a new spring in exactly the same position), compress the spring in place, ask someone to step on the wheel hub, pull the spring out.

To reinstall the stay you can put a floor jack along the car, with handle pointing towards the front of the car and then start raising it. The jack will raise the control arm and pull it closer to stay, so you'd able to align bolt holes.

Also this spring compressor works very well and safely on all coil springs, even on trucks: www.amazon.de/-/en/Universal-Compressor ... B08KSV1VHP

- Avoid using "Internal" spring compressors. They are dangerous to use. I mentioned that in the DIY link.

- It is a bit more work to drop the control arm, but
it is a safer approach. I used the floor jack as the "spring compressor"...

FWD, it was easy when i only removed the inner bolt on the suspension arm. Used a coil spring press and some straps to compress the spring. I first removed the toe rod? too, but that made it impossible to get the spring in correct place.
