VIDA Dice Program new switchblade remote without PIN

Post by dreiher2 »

I was able to find a new remote switchblade key for $60. It did not come with a PIN. Can I program the remote with VIDA Dice without a PIN?

VIDA charges $70 for the flash code to program a remote. $35 for flash code to program the chipped key.

I asked them for one and they did not get back to me. I asked to return it for my money back.

Can the remote be programmed with no PIN?

You need a bar code on the packaging for the key.

As vtl mentioned you need packaging for programming even if going for VIDA sub way.

Its flashing software based addition thing which requires active VIDA sub online as you discovered. You need two codes from the original packaging to program it IF it is brand spanking new not used as its then not working as is even with barcode existing due how its operates.

OK! Thanks everyone. I sent it back for a refund.

Also. . . UHS hardware offers a switchblade key with codes. . . but they are back ordered.

Have any of you used one of those? It says OEM factory refurb with PIN code.

A few years ago a blank ID48 chip was $1.5 or so. Transponder chip can also be reset and reprogrammed to Volvo specs in order to accept a new key. I don't see why a refurb won't work.
