P80 CV boot clamps - Source?

Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.

P80 CV boot clamps - Source?

I have multiple sets of GKN boot kits, however, I don't want to waste a kit to use the larger clip for one of the inner boots on a spare axle I have pulled. The axle had been over extended when someone dropped the front sub-frame pulling the inner CV boot off. The boot is in great shape so I just need some more grease and a clamp to re-fit before adding to the stash.

Has anyone found a good source for these? So far all I can find are cheap band clamps and very narrow boot clamps.

Someone sourced the exact size for these in this Forum. They need to be pretty close to fit snugly

Thanks guys. I'll have to do some digging then. In the meantime, I will have to use one of my boot kits as even the CV grease is currently NLA other than stupid Amazon prices. I can buy the full Lobero/GKN kit for $24 CDN, but nearly $20 shipping. I'll just use one of my stash kits for now, and next time I need to place a bigger order over $99 it is free shipping I'll add a replacement kit to the order.

I'll measure an OE axle and clamp for reference and post it here. If I find the post Abscate mentions or if one of the McMaster-Carr options can work I will add that too. I'm not sure we get MCMaster-Carr up here but again I'll check.

Sometimes you can get away with stainless exhaust wrap clamps/ties. Good luck =)
