Drove the car for ~ 10 miles, slight miss under power in one cylinder. Let sit overnight.
Compression cold, dry: 220 / 215 / 220 / 215 / 215 Beautifull
Took the car for another, "more spirited" drive, miss seems to be clearing up. Lifter tick calmed down too....
I think this project is done. Thanks to you all for a marvelous site and your moral support.
P.S. Guinness still on ice, I will drink them at my leisure.... they will not go to waste.

So I guess we could say that everything has been solved with a liquid of some sort
( For me, it's Guinness in a frosted mug. Heresy I know, but damn orthodoxy !)

Took it for a 25 mile ride today, slight miss under power when cold, but clears up when the temp comes to normal. Other than that it seems to run great.
Re Guinness on ice.... you are correct of course, stouts are better chilled and not ice cold. I drink em slow though so I start a little cooler... time weighted average temp.
Not sure what the actual fix was, me cranking it through every day to take compression readings or the seafoam... maybe both. The world may never know....and that's OK.
Again... Thanks to you all.

The poor cold running could the the ECT (coolant sensor). It acts like an old fashioned choke/enrichment device until the engine comes up to temp. It may not be doing it's work and causing the cold engine roughness.
