geting the back up cam to working again

My bad - I was trying to change a setting, and did something to turn it off--

The B/U cam works when the "cam" button is pushed, but won't come on in reverse. What did I do wrong and what do I need to do to fix it? I sat with the manual and tried to figure out what I did, but couldn't find a fix.

The system uses the input from the transmission (shifter pos. switch) to TCM to show the rear view on display. Mine shows in neutral and in reverse.

It is kind of difficult or impossible for one to guess what you may have done wrong...
Did you change settings with VIDA or with the controls? Can you describe which settings you played with?

Thanks - I didn't use VIDA - I was just futzing round with the center display control panel and the manual. IIRC, all I changed was the key fob personal settings storage recognition. That is, the car reads what's on the fob and moves the mirrors and seat, connects to the phone, etc. I thought it would be nice to set it all up but i didn't want it to connect to my phone, so I turned it back off, to not "see' the settings stored in the fob. The "cam" button works fine...

You need to turn the camera on to get into the camera settings.

And I just get a choice of 2 rear views - a P with a slash through it or not. Is there another level in there?
