Simple stupid question. I was hit 2+ years ago which required cosmetic work along the entire drivers side. Its my kids car, so I don't scrutinize like mine. While filling up this week, I saw the passenger door was not true and ultimately found that the locking mechanism on the door, which has 4 screws to keep it soundly in place, were gone! The locking mechanism in the door is still working, but lacking the screws, it shifts around.
I have searched parts sites and not seen even the door mechanism much less the screws. I see the strike plate on the frame it locks to, but not the internal locking mechanism, and of course all I need is the 4 screws.
I do not want to go to the dealer to get raped - can I remove one from the other side and bring somewhere to match. My Volvo/Saab experience is that I can't find what I need locally....
Where can I simply order replacement screws?
