C30 Headlight rewire project

I will be using this to document my C30 headlight rewiring project. It's a common issue that the insulation breaks down.

I have removed the headlight wiring after baking my headlight in the oven @200F for 15min and prying it apart. So far everything came out smooth, no broken clips. As you can tell it's very brittle

Thanks for documenting. I have the same problem on 2001 Mercedes headlights.

We used a similar tape as the link from Amazon on 3 cars. 00 S70, 03 S80 & 08 C30. No issues thus far. The photo is from the 00 S70. Would like to know of a different solution short of finding a replacement harness.
