Misfires and much more

Hi,

My 00 xc that definitely don't want to leave me no rest, threw a lot of codes today, with an engine light.
I was in trafic jam since startup 10mn earlier.

Job done recently: head gasket, pcv, timing belt. No intake leak (i'm pretty sure of that), no exhaust leak (i guess).
I had issues with my fuel pump but it is solved, i think fuel pressure is ok.
I changed spark plug a year ago, but drived only 7-800 miles since. (not oem volvo spark plugs).

So here are the code that vida threw:

Ecm 3503 misfire
Ecm 3513 cyl 1 misfire
Ecm 3553 cyl 5 misfire
Ecm 4801 cat converter efficacity
Ecm 261a long term fuel trim, too high.

I'm using e85 ethanol fuel with a good calculator with fuel sensor to adjust injection.

What are your thoughts on this ?

Where to begin ?

I'd clear all the codes out with VIDA and try again.

What's your battery state of charge? If your alternator is weak and you sit in non-moving traffic long enough, low voltage makes these cars get majorly unhappy. If the voltage goes low enough the throttle control module will stick the car in idle and not let you accelerate.

Good question. until today I had no issue with the battery so I guess it is fine. i cleared all the code but if they came once, I can imagine they will appear another time as I regularly check for codes.

Sometimes a vacuum leak can lead to those issues, especially after a head gasket job. Look for a misbehaving hose, and smoke test it if you can.

Does your car have VVT on the exhaust cam?

I have not dealt with this myself (yet!), but my buddy had weird stuff go on with is car and it threw codes for a bunch of stuff including cylinder firing issues. Not sure how you test it without Vida though.
