For how little you use, and how few times you replace them, just use the Volvo stuff.
I do recall someone years ago saying there was an alternate brand of oil they used for the angle gear (may have been JRL), but I don't recall the specifics. I changed mine 11 years ago, but the the car has only done 10,000 miles since then!
I think I may still have the left over diff oil in the cupboard in the garage!!
Neil.

Alas they do not, should have mentioned I checked there first. Nor do they show the Volvo product but I could look that up I know ..

Ha ha ! M58 indeed is nice, but p80 are one of the few cars with decent auto trans.
For TRACS, it is only about front wheels indeed, it works on mine without propeller shaft on the car for the moment. Strange fact my car did not have the dstc button. I added it after I bought it as the cable was already there, only the button was missing.
Salut Pacolamerguez !

My car was the same. No TRACS button, but wiring in place so I fitted one.

Thanks for the information on the TRACS function.
I imagine it works with the ABS module, and I don't think it works on my car...
I have a problem with this, sometimes the speedometer stops working. I have to turn the car off and restart it to get it working again.
Sometimes it works for 150/200km, sometimes only 5km... It's random.
I think it's due to the ABS control unit, which must have overheated/aged and is malfunctioning.
I also have a problem with starting, randomly when I want to start the car the engine starts and stops as if it refused to start (the starter turns correctly, the battery does not seem weak even if it is old).
I changed the crankshaft sensor because the wire was slightly damaged, but this has had no effect on this symptom.
I'm thinking of changing the battery for a new one to see if that improves anything and make sure it's not the cause.
If you have any ideas I'd love to hear from you
The engine runs very well and has no problems when it is started, this happens less than 1 time in 10 or so at random.
Otherwise I wanted to share with you some information from Skandix on the recommended quantities of oil for the rear differential and the angle gear.
Angle gear = 0.75L
Rear differential = 1.3L
Thanks again for your replies!

Otherwise I agree about the oil, in fact I put Volvo oil in all the transmission components with anti-friction additive. Even if it is quite expensive

Hi and welcome!
ABS modules fail with age and is likely the issue with both functions you have issues with. The solder hardens for the internal connections in the ABS module and then fracture, become intermittent and then stop working. If there is an issue with the ABS module, it will switch TRACS off, ABS off, and speedo can stop as well.
To confirm, and yet again this is onl to confirm, try wedging something like cardboard or a golf tee between the body of the module and the wiring connectors and see if it starts working again. While not a 100% test, it will usually help to ID the unit has failed. Repair is the way forward. You can do it yourself, or have a specialist do it for you. Not sure who does these types of repairs in Europe or the UK these days.
Starting could well be the coolant sensor (ECT). There are specifications to check it's operation and compare ambient temperature to what it thinks it is seeing. If it is reading incorrectly, it does not enrich the fuel when the engine is cold. Also check the wiring at the connector by the power steering pump connector for the ECT. Common for failures there.
Thanks for the info on the fill quantities for the fluids in the AWD cars!
