Aha, disregard, the SAS test just passed! It is showing a pending fault though, I wonder when that will go through? I hope it holds off until I can get to the smog place tomorrow.
And should it be showing a pending fault if I did the SAS diode mod? Makes me wonder if I did it correctly.
How to make the SAS emissions test run?

No it should not. The solenoid and relay have to remain in place for the SAS though, even with the diode installed.

Ok this is weird. I figured out how to get the SAS test to run, just start the car cold and let it idle for like 10 minutes. But even though I'm never letting the tank get below full (never more than 1.5 gallons from full), the evap test keeps running and throwing the CEL. It shows up as a pending fault right away, within like 10 or 20 miles of me resetting the CEL.
I don't imagine anyone has any ideas about why it's running even with a full tank?

It might run the first series of tests and faulting on that right away.
User lexia posted a great tome in the exact EVAP sequence
