If you are having vibration at idle only, the first mount to check is the front engine mount which is accessed through the right passenger wheel well. When it's bad it kind of feel like teeth knocking when you're freezing. I'm going to assume the P80 and P2 are about the same as the mounts are similar.

If the above mount is not the issue do start a new post so it's be quicker to get a response. Since the original post is short I read through it to see what has been posted but then found your situation unrelated to the OP's 1800 ~ 2000 rpm vibration.

is not engine mounts--I changed al 5 with new ones --I feel the engine shaking when I touch it in park--much more than my other volvo
It shakes so much that the mounts can only partially handle it
It is an engine internal problem

Sorr but I didn’t found the absolute fix. Replaced the free wheel alternator clutch and I remembered it reduced the vibration a bit. If you do that you can’t loosen it with hand tools. And it’s a special kind of bit

you can eliminate external engine sources by removing the serpentine belt.
I doubt engine internals, maybe a running problem such as coils.

you can also put a wooden block under the oil pan and lift the engine half an inch to take up slack in the mounts.
if vibration remains its a running problem, not the mounts.

Let's all take a moment to remember that vibrations, transferred via the mounts to the subframe are retransmitted through the subframe mounts.

However there is one but. The rear subframe mount lies on one component which has a direct connection to the entire car, and that is the steering rack with its steering column. The rear subframe mount lies on the steering rack.

Now if the problem is less with the serpentine mount, look no further than problematic harmonic balancer.

What does harmonic mean? It's a phrase used in frequency analysis, harmonic being unwanted frequencies at double the natural frequency I belive it was.

the problem is that the engine is vibrating abnormally bad between 600-800 RPM --no motor mounts can handle that amount of vibrations
I changed all 5 of them ---I have the other volvo S60 same year same engine as this V70 and that engine is very smooth comparing with V70 at any RPM--is an engine issue not a mount issue --I changed all spark pugs all coils -air filter fuel pressure sensor--the oil separator box is clean and I have negative pressure -I run injector cleaner with no effect -Not sure what else can be? oxygen sensors? serpentine belt? There is no codes on this car

Harmonic balancer, subframe bushings. Even the strut mounts I think can do it too. I remember reading recently a very old post of vtl about him replacing a strut because of some vibration but maybe that was about road speed vibration and not idle.

Sorry, yeah 600 RPM idle is not normal. It should be either 750 or 850. Not more, not less. Definitely not 600. I've had situations where my RPMs drop below 700 and I also have nasty vibration.

Check for vacuum leaks. Read codes/ fuel trims etc.

no codes and strange the vibration goes away completely if I increase RPM to 800--do you think is a vacuum leak? cant find any
