Fun Christmas.. I purchased a Flashlogic remote starter (installed many in the past) and attempted to install as a Christmas present on my sons 2008 S80 V8. double, triple checked. Hooked battery up and was about to go through the module programming sequence and nothing worked (key not recognized yet). I removed the system and the car doesn't recognize the key! It would not even stay in the slot. Eventually the key pulled into the slot but nothing when I press the start stop button, now the key is stuck in there. I read with VIDA and not many of the modules are seen.. I think I may have damaged the CEM but not sure.. thoughts? I am attaching VIDA info here. I was a mechanic years ago, still do a lot of side mechanical work etc. This one got me.. I could use some advices on where to go from here.
Doesn't recognize many of the other systems (maybe because ignition is not working??)
