Manual flywheel bolts?

Post by oldschoolvolvo »

I need a sanity check...I bought OE flywheel bolts (9454743) and a 12mm XZN bit, but the bit clearly doesn't fit the bolt (too big). I'm wondering if the 12mm bit I bought is oversize. What gives? Appreciate any feedback.

There's a socket set available on Amazon for $19. See this thread....

If you bought both from FCP a phonecall might clear things up. Is this what you have ?

Lesson learned, don't assume the tool is correct.

@foggydogg Thanks for the link. I didn't realize FCP sold individual bits or I would have purchased both together and avoided this confusion.

Turns out the 12mm XZN bit I got on Amazon is oversized and was causing my confusion.
I got a different bit at Advance Auto and it fits just fine. Problem solved.

Fair warning, this bit may or may not work:
