Help, Advice, Owners' Discussion and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's stylish, distinctive P2 platform cars sold as model years 2001-2007 (North American market year designations).
I was surprised when the mirror glass fell out of the right (passenger) side mirror on my 2008 Volvo S60 without warning, and worried that it would be an expensive repair or replacement of the entire mirror assembly. But I tried a search and was amazed to find that the mirror glass alone was a readily available replacement item. Even better, it was available for fast delivery on Amazon Prime for not much more than eBay. (Who would have thought?) I went with https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00R6RQ9B4 because it seemed to be top quality for not much more money than the cheapest ones, and I'm delighted with the result. It was quick and easy to install, fit perfectly, and is so clear and bright that I'm tempted to replace the left (driver side) mirror. Highly recommended. (And no, this is not spam—I have no interest in the item other than as a very satisfied customer.)
TIPS:
Clean the mounting pad with isopropyl alcohol before mounting to ensure good adhesion.
Position carefully because the mounting pad is super sticky and grippy.
Hope that helps,
John
