2002 V70 - DIM out

Hi,

The text message readout (which I gather from previous posts is the DIM=Driver Information Module) is now completely out, after a long period when it flickered but was readable. Reading the previous posts, it seems there are some services where you can remove the whole instrument cluster and send for repair, but I was wondering if there is a a way to order the part and have my mechanic install it?

Have same issue with the DIM on my 2002 V70 XC. I've reworked two ABS Modules, 98 S70 T5 & 00 S70 SE Base, with success but not sure about reworking these much finer and close IC's. There are two companies.

2001-2004 uses a DIM different from 2005+.

My 2004 V70 DIM was replaced by a used unit from eBay for $65.

Just make sure you buy a unit with odo reading similar to
what the current odo reading, is showing.
