The 850ies had 2 bolts towards the frame and a removable ball joint for the early years. The Diesel 850ies had a different mounting pattern towards the frame, could bel 4 bolts.

We didn't get diesels this side of the Atlantic unless possibly private imports. So if you have owned the car from new then it is an anomaly if it has a 4 bolt control arm. Can you post a picture for us?

If you have not owned the car from new, it may have had an accident and someone fitted a later front subframe from a V/S/C 70 P80.

If that is the case then a regular 4 bolt part should be fine.

I think you have a swapped subframe. You need to match bolt pattern of course.

Back on this again...so I am going to post a pic of this arm...definitely looks like the 4 bolt configuration if someone can confirm this. I snapped a quick pic last night did not really look under there too well.

Yup. 4-bolt. Are the bushings for the subframe aluminum? Someone has probably swapped in a C70 convertible SF.

Agree with the others, subframe swapped. C70 or an AWD platform. Raising the motor up a bit helps with access to the bolts; pack your patience, it isn't a ten minute job.

I quoted an hour for a 4 bolt control arm once, based on the two bolt design, and the Creator humbled me.
