Hello all,
I am gathering the bits for for a home service in a couple of weeks and can't find a definitive answer on what viscosity to use. The engine code is B5254T, I live in central Europe.
Oil checker sites show 5w30 and 10w30 seem to be the most likely candidates I'm not sure, does anyone else have experience with the lpt engine?
Thanks in advance.

10w40 semi synth or 5w40 full synth because of a turbo.
5w30 or 10w30 is too thin for these engines.

From Volvo: Since it rarely gets above 104F where I live, 10W30 goes in everything I drive.Randomnamegenerator wrote: ↑24 Jan 2024, 10:48 Hello all,

That's one of the reasons it would never occur to me to put 40 weight in any of my cars; plus if it gets that cold I ain't going outside, and the prime mover stays tucked under the house almost as warm as me.

At 104F the only place I’m headed is the beach, on foot.

This morning just before 8:00...
. .
Nothing but Mobil 1 5w-30 and Chevron Supreme.
(Only 90 octane here, but ZERO corn syrup ).
At least 6 hours of plug-in time if she’s outside.
And she’ll get to run for at least a half hour before she rolls.
Or the heated garage - Strongly Preferred!
