When I first installed the flange I replaced the seal behind it. I didn't insert it fully so oil was leaking. With limited time back then I took it to an Indy Shop to replace that seal again. That was nearly 5 years ago. I'm surprised it lasted this long.

Two things I do not want to see in life: a neighbor's dog pooping on my lawn, where my own kids and their friends play, and a clueless indy wrecking my car.

It doesn’t look like a recent damage event to the pump as evidenced by the oily dirt around it. It looks like someone was trying to pry the flange off and using the pump as leverage.

With it being on top of the casing they most likely put something through the flange hole while loosening the nut. Glad I no longer live near that Indy Shop.

When I tighten the flange bolt I'll put a piece a wood on top of it to secure it.

UPDATE: Using a 3/4" piece of scrap wood did the job. Just made sure it was set firmly so it wouldn't go flying around and damage the DEM.

AWD is now working again after replacing the defective oil pump. She's climbing the hills much faster.

Removing the oil pump drains nearly all the haldex fluid so I filled her up twice before extracting 100ml.

Still on the genuine replacement pump in 2018 and 89.000km, car runs great.
It should be time now to service the haldex filter and oil soon!
I did kept the old original pump in case but haven't yet bought a repair kit.

To keep my Haldex in good condition I'll be changing the oil again in ~ 20k miles. I just ordered 2 full liters of Haldex oil from a local dealership for just $35 each. I'll be picking them up next week.

Even though I've removed the oil pump twice there was still a lot of dirty fluid down there. It's the lowest section of the Haldex.

Next time I siphon out the fluid from the fill hole I'll do when it's still warm. After getting as much dirty warm fluid siphoned I'll let it drip down for 30min then get some more cold fluid siphoned.

You'll be able to evacuate maybe 200 ml.

If you just siphon while it's warm you are correct.

After siphoning the dirty warm fluid let it drip down for at least 30min then do another siphon. Should get at least 300ml siphoned out. I edited the previous post to add that tip.
